This exclusive design honors the Abilene Blue Sox, a minor league team that played in the West Texas–New Mexico League from 1946 to 1955 and the Big State League from 1956 to 1957. As affiliates of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Kansas City Athletics, the Blue Sox were known for their blue trim hose, inspired by their Brooklyn parent team. The 1946 Blue Sox team is celebrated as one of the top 100 Minor League Baseball teams of all time.
