​Carter Mathison is a talented baseball player from Fort Wayne, Indiana who currently plays for the Indiana University baseball team. After a successful prep career at Homestead High School that earned him recognition as Indiana Mr. Baseball in 2021, Mathison committed to playing baseball for Indiana University. Since joining the team, he has become an integral part of their success and a fan favorite among Hoosiers fans.

His 19 home runs were the most by a freshman in Hoosier Baseball history and second by a freshmen in Big Ten history. Mathison was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team and a freshman All-American by numerous publications in 2022.
