30 Days of Catch

Wanna have a catch? Matt Landry, a pastor in Indianapolis, is working on his 3rd annual 30 Days of Catch for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.

After discovering Ethan Bryan's book, The Year of Playing Catch, where the author challenges the reader to play catch for 30 days, Matt took the idea and combined it with his work with Gleaners Food Bank. He would play catch for 30 days with 30 different people raising awareness and funds for Gleaners.

Matt started in 2023 playing catch for 30 days with 30 different people to raise awareness and funds for Gleaners. He has played catch with representatives from the Indianapolis Indians, South Bend Cubs, two former Major League Baseball players, two Indiana state senators, a journalist from the Kokomo Tribune, the CEO of Gleaners, two Indianapolis City Councilors, community members, and an IndyStar sports journalist. In fact, that journalist, Gregg Doyel, wrote a story about the campaign in the IndyStar.

During the last two years, Matt has been able to raise close to $55,000 to help those facing food insecurity. Proceeds from the sale of a shirt or sticker will go directly to help Matt's campaign.
